3B Pharmaceutials and Baxter Corp. are running a multi-target R&D collaboration to develop novel innovative peptide therapeutics for hemophilia. This collaboration was initiated in 2001 (with Jerini AG) and expanded in the following years. All collaboration projects were transferred to 3BP in late 2009 following the purchase of Jerini AG by Shire Pharmaceuticals.
Peptide leads for multiple targets have already been discovered and are currently being optimized by 3BP and Baxter based on different preclinical in-vitro assays and animal models.
